Kiss-tern Update!

March 21, 2019

Quick update on my time as a Kiss-tern! Since I started in January, we had just finished up Mac Attack and had a month to prepare for both WGR's Celebrity Roast and Kiss 98.5's Cupcake Challenge, which were within a few days of each other. It's so interesting to see all of the details that go into each event that don't normally get considered by those who attend. Like, finding a throne for Danny Gare to sit on while he got roasted, or making sure the steel cupcake trophies are ordered and ready on time for the winning bakeries of the challenge. I observed as much as I could regarding the preparation for the events, and even attended both to lend a helping hand in setting up the venues and making sure everything ran smoothly. As the crowds of people grew, it was really fulfilling to feel everyone's excitement about the events that I helped plan and prepare for. I had an especially great time at the Cupcake Challenge because I got to walk around and photograph the event all day! I love taking pictures at events like this because you get to capture a lot of candid moments where people seem genuinely happy, especially when they're eating cupcakes. All of the kids that were running around and dancing along to the music, probably as a result of all of the sugar, were so fun to watch and gave me a lot of photo opportunities!

Even though it's only March, we've already started planning our summer shows. Since the summer events are our biggest ones, there's a lot more planning that goes into them. Although I might not be an intern when they happen, I can't wait to help prepare for them so that the people who attend have the best experience they can, because that's really what it's all about.

I can't wait to see what the rest of my time here at Entercom has in store. I'll make sure to keep you all updated!
