WATCH: Gender Reveal Party Starts $220K Wildfire

October 1, 2018

Check out this guy in Arizona that started a wildfire from a gender-reveal party. The 37-year-old was having a gender-reveal party that consisted of shooting at Tannerite, which is a legal but explosive substance. The powder then was supposed to reveal the gender depending on the color that bursts out. Apparently, that backfired and when the man called law enforcement it was too late because the winds in were so strong. Because of the strong winds, the fire was able to spread quickly. Luckily, no one got injured and no buildings were caught in the fire but it did cost Arizona state $8.2 million and cost the man a fine of $220K. Since this was unintentional of course the man was charged with a misdemeanor.
