Greg Remembers 9/11

Greg on the Radio

I saw a meme last night that really struck me.  It said, "18 Years Ago 3000 People Would be Spending Their Last Night with Their Families. Think About that for a Second."  Even after all these years, it's still tough to really believe everything that happened on 9/11.

I remember when I first heard the news.  I grew up in California so I got the news later than most people in Buffalo probably did.  My alarm went off which was my radio and I heard something about a plane hitting the World Trade Center.  Believe it or not, I at first thought it was a joke.  I mean come on, A PLANE HIT THE WORLD TRADE CENTER!?!  So I hit the snooze and went back to sleep. But 10 minutes later when it went off again and they were still talking about it, I knew something had to be going on.

I couldn't believe when I turned on my TV to see what was going on.

A day or so after 9/11 I started collecting every newspaper/magazine I could about it.  This is my collection that has traveled with me through multiple cities and 4 states now.  I keep this with me to ensure that I'll #NeverForget.
