Arnold Schwarzenegger won’t be returning as the host of The Celebrity Apprentice if the show is renewed for another season.

Schwarzenegger says that he has had a great time hosting the show this season, but President Donald Trump’s involvement in the show has made it a little tough for the show to get traction.

"When people found out that Trump was still involved as executive producer and was still receiving money from the show, then half the people [started] boycotting it,” he tells Empire.

Arnold says that even if he is asked to return to the show for another season, he would decline the offer.

“With Trump being involved in the show people have a bad taste and don't want to participate as a spectator or as a sponsor or in any other way support the show. It's a very divisive period now and I think this show got caught up in all that division,” Schwarzenegger told Empire.

Rumors have swirled that NBC may cancel the show amid declining ratings, but no decisions about the show’s future have been announced.
